I thought the WF Long Course training program was excellent and I’d recommend you to anyone. I thought the program prepared me well for the race and was structured enough to keep me in check; training consistently through the week, yet flexible enough to accommodate missed days or other training activities that came up. It was spelled out clearly over the course of the program… what the training milestones were and which workouts were the ‘key’ sessions for the week. Besides the physical component though, I thought the advice and insight you offered us was the best part. Having raced WF several times, you really gave me a good idea of what to expect, how to prepare a race strategy and how to be ready to execute that plan on race day. Also, the sit down nutrition/race plan talk I had with you erased any nerves I had about the race. I felt more at ease going into this race than any other race in the past, even though it was my first long course race on a very difficult course. All in all, the program was excellent, and the coaching was even better. You have a good thing going and I’d definitely go back to you in the future (when I sack up for an IM) and definitely recommend you to anyone looking for top notch coaching.

BIKE FIT

Brandon,
Wanted to let you know that the bike fit you did for me a week ago made a big difference. As you mentioned, I had to adjust my riding slightly and was a little sore at first. I now have a couple of hundred miles on the bike and can ride harder than ever. In fact, I went on a 75-mile ride (mostly mountain) Saturday and came back without the usual aches, just slightly fatigued, which is expected at the level we rode.

The changes you made to my bike today were quite noticeable tonight, I think it’s going to take me a little while to get used to it, but my knees didn’t give me any problems. I did seem to have an easier time going faster than I did before and found it easier to maintain a higher heartrate than I used to be able to do (legs and knees gave out quicker before). I also noticed that hills were better and I didn’t need to stand as much as I used to. Anyway, thanks for the fix, I’m sure that this’ll help me a lot!
